About Gairs
Gairs has been a trailblazer in China’s air compressor industry since 1988, specializing in the development and production of water injected oil free single-screw air compressors. With over 37 years of experience in screw air compressor technology, we were the first pioneering manufacturer of this innovation in China. Our facilities cover an expansive 68,000 square meters, with a dedicated building area spanning 60,000 square meters. Our flagship product is the water-lubricated oil-free single screw air compressor, offering a range of exhaust pressures from 2 bar to 40 bar and air delivery volumes from 1.2m³ to 60m³/min.

Frequently Asked Questions

Gairs initially specialized in manufacturing oil-injected compressors but later shifted its focus to oil-free models in 1998. Today, Gairs predominantly produces water-injected oil-free single-screw air compressors. In 2024, we introduced a new partner brand, Klina, which offers budget-friendly options including both oil-free and oil-injected models.
Gairs Water-injected air compressors achieve lubrication through a process where water is injected directly into the compression chamber. OGW series oil free air compressors employ stainless steel piping and airend parts (housing, screw rotor), which ensures that water will not rust inside the machine. Using RO water as an efficient cooling, sealing and lubricating medium also guarantees an absolute oil-free operation without relying on traditional lubricating oils.
Reverse osmosis (RO) water must be used as the lubricating water source.
In our Gairs OGW series of water-lubricated compressors, lubricating water is injected into the airend to facilitate cooling. Inside the airend, the water acts as a seal between the star wheel and the screw rotor, enhancing the compressor’s volumetric efficiency. Since the lubricating water continuously circulates within the system, its quality directly impacts the airend’s lifespan. Therefore, it is crucial to adhere strictly to the water quality requirements outlined in the accompanying photo.
Yes, the airend is crucial to any air compressor and is particularly challenging to manufacture. Since our founding in 1988, we have been dedicated to researching and producing single-screw airends, accumulating substantial expertise in their design and development over the years.
Currently for OGW models, we offer 1-year coverage for the whole package and 2-year coverage for the airend.
