Air Dryers

GAIRS air dryers are ideal for applications requiring a constant dew point. The SAD and SHAD Series refrigerated air dryers offer exceptional performance and deliver the best value for customers. All dryers are manufactured and designed to meet rigorous quality benchmarks.

If you’re compressing air, you’ll likely need an air dryer! Air dryers are essential components in compressed air systems, designed to remove excess moisture from the air. They can be integrated into the compressor or used as standalone units. The two main types of air dryers are:

Refrigerated Dryer. This type of dryer cools the compressed air, causing moisture to condense and separate from the air. Refrigerant dryers are the most common option for compressed air systems. We offer the SAD series, designed to suit most low-pressure compressor models (≤1.3 MPa), and the SHAD series, tailored for more demanding high-pressure models (≤4.0 MPa), ensuring efficient moisture control in various applications.

Desiccant Dryer. Desiccant air dryers remove moisture from compressed air by using desiccant materials that adsorb water vapor. These dryers are ideal for industries requiring exceptionally dry, clean air, such as pharmaceuticals and chemicals, ensuring high-quality air for sensitive applications. They can be further divided into two types, heatless and heated desiccant dryers. Heatless type (SAD-WXF Series) use compressed air to regenerate desiccant, while heated type (SAD-MXF Series) use external heat. Both types provide ultra-dry air for critical applications, like pharmaceuticals.

  • Glass Bottling Industry 370x370

Gairs’ OGWBD series were specifically developed to meet the demands of users in industries such as glass bottling, who previously relied on pressure-reducing valves on 7-10 bar machines to achieve low-pressure effects.

  • PET Bottling Industry 370x370
    PET Bottling Production

Gairs’ OGWBE series are capable of achieving exhaust pressures up to 40 bar during plastic bottling. Compared with traditional piston compressors, the biggest advantage of OGWBE series is energy saving and low maintenance cost.

  • Electronics 370x370

By avoiding oil contamination, oil-free compressors help in reducing defects and ensuring the high quality and reliability of semiconductor products, which makes them a preferred choice in this high-tech industry.

  • Pharmaceutical 370x370
    Pharmaceutical

Oil-free compressors ensure that the air used in pharmaceutical processes, such as filling, packaging, and other operations, does not carry oil that could lead to contamination or affect the operation of sensitive equipment.

  • Fermentation 370x370
    Fermentation

Low pressure (3 to 5 bar) is needed during aeration and mixing process which involves introducing air into the fermentation vessel to supply oxygen to microorganisms or to mix the contents. OGWBD sereis would be a great choice for this application.

Air Compressor System Installation Guide

Since water-injected oil-free single screw compressors contain no oil, installing the C and T series air filters is typically sufficient. However, for more demanding applications, such as in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, additional A series filters or sterilizing filters are required to meet stringent compressed air quality standards.
