100% Oil-Free Operation
The compressor uses water for lubrication instead of oil, ensuring 100% clean and pure compressed air that meets ISO 8573-1 (2010) and TÜV CLASS ZERO standards.
High Efficiency
- Single-Screw Technology: Eliminates clearance volume, improving performance.
- Water Lubrication: Seals gaps in the compression chamber, allowing for high efficiency even at temperatures close to 50°C.
- Near Isothermal Compression: Uses water as a cooling medium to maintain constant air temperature throughout compression, reducing energy consumption.
Low Noise
- Quiet Design: Single screw airend utilizes a stainless steel screw rotor and polymer-made star wheels for meshing components.
- Direct Coupling: Features a direct coupling between the motor and the screw, minimizing vibration and noise.
- Sound Insulation: The enclosure is lined with sound-absorbing material to effectively reduce noise levels.
Energy Saving
- VSD+PM Motor: 2 Variable speed drives combined with 2 permanent magnet motors for exceptional energy efficiency and savings.
Stable Air Delivery
- Dynamic Pressure Control: The controller continuously monitors discharge pressure using the compressor’s pressure sensor and adjusts the inverter’s output frequency to regulate motor speed and ensure stable free air delivery.
Robust Components
- Stainless Steel 304: All piping and key components, including the airend (rotor and housing) that come into contact with air and water, are constructed from durable Stainless Steel 304. This ensures long-lasting performance and resistance to corrosion.

Industry-Leading Single Screw Airend
With nearly 40 years of R&D in single screw technology, Gairs is proud to be a global leader in single screw airend manufacturing, setting industry standards worldwide.
Low Maintenance Cost
Regular maintenance (excluding airend overhaul) is easy—just change the air filter, water filter, and water softener elements on a regular basis. Unlike other compressors, there’s no need for extra spare parts, making upkeep hassle-free.

Engergy Saving Up to 13%
When compared to OWGY(B) models and other similar compressors, the OGWYC energy efficient compressor employ a two-stage compression system. This design improves pressure distribution and reduces the compression ratio, resulting in enhanced power efficiency for the compressor.
Let’s calculate how much an OGWYC model can save on your electric bill. For an air delivery volume of 40 m³/min at 10 Bar, the OGWYC requires a motor power of 220 kW, while a comparable compressor needs 250 kW. Assuming the machine operates 12 hours a day, 365 days a year, the annual energy savings can be calculated as follows:
30kW×12hours×365days×$0.15=$19,710
Thus, you could save approximately $19,710 annually.
Comparison
Motor Power Difference | OGWYC Two Stage Oil-free Screw Compressor | OGWY Single Stage Oil-free Screw Compressor |
20m³/min @ 10 Bar | 120 kW | 132 kW |
24m³/min @ 10 Bar | 140 kW | 160 kW |
30m³/min @ 10 Bar | 180 kW | 200 kW |
40m³/min @ 10 Bar | 220 kW | 250 kW |
30m³/min @ 8 Bar | 165 kW | 185 kW |
40m³/min @ 8 Bar | 200 kW | 250 kW |

Frequently Asked Questions
The following are frequently asked by our customers about OGW series water lubricated oil-free air compressors.
Reverse osmosis (RO) water must be used as the lubricating water source.
In our Gairs OGW series of water-lubricated compressors, lubricating water is injected into the airend to facilitate cooling. Inside the airend, the water acts as a seal between the star wheel and the screw rotor, enhancing the compressor’s volumetric efficiency. Since the lubricating water continuously circulates within the system, its quality directly impacts the airend’s lifespan.
Two-stage oil-free energy efficient compressors split the compression into two phases, which reduces heat build-up and requires less energy for each stage. This design can achieve up to 13% energy savings over single-stage compressors.
The two-stage process lowers the amount of work needed for compression by cooling the air between stages. This cooling reduces energy demand and increases compressor efficiency.
Industries with high air volume and energy efficiency demands, such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, automotive, and electronics manufacturing, benefit significantly from two-stage oil-free compressors due to cost savings and cleaner air output.
Typically, the lead time for a single-stage model is approximately 25-30 working days, while the lead time for a two-stage model is around 40-45 working days.
