A client from the PET bottling industry purchased our OGWBE185S model compressor, which delivers an air flow of 20 m³/min at 30 bar. However, the air receiver they paired with it had a capacity of just 600 liters, far smaller than the recommended size of 2000 liters (2.0 m³).

The result? The air receiver couldn’t handle the volume, causing frequent pressure fluctuations and leading to the breakdown of the airend. This costly error could have been avoided by choosing the appropriate air receiver size.

The rule of thumb is simple: the air receiver size should be approximately 10% of the compressor’s air delivery volume. For instance:
